Privacy Policy
This page covers two different things that often get muddled: what happens to information you type into this website, and what happens to clinical records once you become a client. They are governed differently, so they're separated below.
The short version
This website collects as little as possible. There is no advertising tracking on it, no third-party ad pixels, and nothing is sold or shared with data brokers.
If you fill in the contact form, that information is used to reply to you and for nothing else.
What this website collects
Information you send. Getting in touch goes through a secure form provided by the practice-management system described below, under a signed business associate agreement. It asks for your name, contact details and a short description of what you are looking for, and it is used solely to respond to you. That information does not pass through this website and is not stored here.
Basic analytics. If analytics are enabled, they are privacy-preserving and cookieless. They are aggregate counts of which pages are visited, and of a few anonymous actions such as "a message was sent" or "an email link was clicked," with no cookies, no cross-site tracking, and no attempt to identify individuals. Those counts are totals only. Nothing you type into the form (your name, your email, or what you write) is ever sent to an analytics service. There is deliberately no Meta pixel, no Google Ads remarketing tag, and no session-recording tool on this site.
Server logs. The web host records standard request information, including IP addresses, for security and reliability.
Please don't send clinical detail through this form
The contact form is a general inquiry channel, not a secure medical one, and neither is ordinary email. Share just enough to start the conversation: that you're looking for trauma therapy, roughly what's going on, and how to reach you. Anything clinical is better discussed on the consult call or through the secure client portal once you're a client.
This isn't a formality. Email travels through systems neither of us controls.
Clinical records, once you are a client
Clinical records are handled entirely separately from this website, in a practice-management system operating under a signed business associate agreement. They are not stored in ordinary email or on this website, and this website has no access to them.
You will receive the full Notice of Privacy Practices at intake, before the first session, along with the informed-consent and telehealth-consent documents. That notice, not this page, is the governing document for your clinical record. This summary exists so you know what to expect before you make contact.
In brief: what you say in session is confidential and legally protected. The exceptions are narrow and specific: a serious risk of harm to you or someone else, suspected abuse or neglect of a child or vulnerable adult, or a court order. Records are released to anyone else only with your written authorization. Ordinary difficult thoughts are not reportable, and these limits will be walked through with you at the first session.
Your choices
You can ask what information is held about you, ask for a correction, or ask for it to be deleted, by emailing the address on the contact page. Requests about clinical records follow the process in the Notice of Privacy Practices, which includes some limits that exist to protect the integrity of the record.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, the date at the bottom of the page changes with it.
